Drive, Chip & Putt 2020 Qualifying

The NEPGA's first Drive, Chip & Putt qualifier was recently contested at Val Halla GC in Cumberland, ME. About one hundred boys and girls tried to qualify locallly and move on to the sub-regional at Renaissance GC, with the ultimately goal of making it to the Masters next spring.

Membership registration opens on March 1st, and tournament registration on March 15th.

This website is still being updated but you can find additional information and links to registration here now. There are some policy and fee changes to discuss as well. Please check out the website and let us know if you have questions or ideas for additions.
  • Eligibility:
    The Maine PGA Junior Tour is open to all boys and girls ages 9-21 who reside in Maine or are members of a Maine golf course. (Age calculated as of September 1, 2019. For example, if your child turns 14 before September 1, 2019 then he/she will play with 14-year old’s). To be eligible for the Graduates Division, the player must be attending college.

  • Just because you’re graduating this spring doesn’t mean your done playing Junior golf.
    Members who have graduated high school (or will turn 19 prior to September 1, 2019) may play the season directly following high school graduation in either the Girls 14-18 Division or Boys 16-18 division. Members are attending college are permitted to compete in the Graduate Division.

  • Membership Fees:
    Regular membership - $40 The most common membership on the Junior Tour is the Regular Membership. The Regular Membership gives you access to every event on the Maine Junior Tour and the NEPGA Jr. Tour. Regular Membership + Ping College Golf Guide - $65 See the website for more information.

  • Sibling Membership Discount to $30 (New):
    Eligibility: Open to any brother or sister (ages 9-21) of a full paying member of the Maine Jr Tour. Registration: Families must register and pay in full for all their children then email Don Doyon (ddoyon@pgahq.com) the names of the members in order to credit the $10 back onto the families’ credit card.

  • Age Divisions remain the same:
    BOYS GIRLS Boys 19-21 (Grad Div/College Students) Girls 14-18 (Grad Div/College Students) Boys 16-18 Girls 13 & under (9 holes) Boys 14-15 Boys 12-13 Boys 11 & under (9 holes)

    Note: Junior players may “declare up” to a higher age division however they MAY NOT return to the younger division for the remainder of the season unless deemed necessary by the Maine Junior Golf Committee. Player of the year points will NOT be transferred if the player returns to a younger Division. When making such a decision, please keep in mind that juniors who declare up will be competing against older players.

  • Tournament Registrations:
    All registration for the 2019 Maine Junior Tour will be done online. To register for tournament online, you must be a 2019 Junior Member.

    Note:
    Tournament deadlines are generally 5 days prior to the event so plan ahead. The Maine Junior Tour reserves the right to change deadlines at any time. Tournament Registrations may be accepted by credit card ONLY. (Includes Walk-ons)

    Boys 11 & under and Girls 13 & under- $25, (9 holes)
    Boys 12-13, Boys 14-15, Boys 16-18, Girls 14-18 and Grad Division - $30 (18 holes)
