2020 Junior Membership &

Event Registration Still Open

In response to the rapidly changing COVID-19 situation that is present within our New England area, we are working diligently to provide clear and concise information to all our constituents regarding the start of our season and the many events that coincide. We are paying close attention to the suggestions made by our local and national governments, the World Health Organization and Center for Disease Control as it pertains to our PGA Junior events and will act accordingly to maintain the safety of everyone involved.

Out of an abundance of caution for everybody's health and wellbeing, we may need to postpone some events. With schools closing for weeks at a time, our Junior Tour schedule could be affected.  It will depend on what happens with the school end of season.

However, registration for Junior Memberships and all Maine Junior Tour events is now open and will still be operating as usual during this time. If any event needs to be cancelled or postponed a full refund will apply.

Since this situation is extremely fluid, we are asking for patience and understanding as the status of some or all these events may change in the coming days and weeks.

The Maine Junior Tour schedule will be updated as rapidly as possible with any changes in status, and all Members are encouraged to check back periodically.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out and thank you for your patience and understanding.

Welcome to the Maine Junior Golf Tour website.

Membership registration opens on February 1st, and tournament registration on March 15th.

Please note: Your Maine PGA Junior Tour membership enables you to play in all Maine Junior Tour events including the Maine Junior Amateur Championship administered by the Maine State Golf Association.

Your Maine Junior Tour membership also makes you eligible to play in all New England Junior Tour events.

  • Eligibility:
    The Maine PGA Junior Tour is open to all boys and girls ages 9-21 who reside in Maine or are members of a Maine golf course. (Age calculated as of September 1, 2020. For example, if your child turns 14 before September 1, 2020 then he/she will play with 14-year old’s). To be eligible for the Graduates Division, the player must be attending college.
     
  • Just because you’re graduating this spring doesn’t mean your done playing Junior golf.
    Members who have graduated high school (or will turn 19 prior to September 1, 2020) may play the season directly following high school graduation in either the Girls 14-18 Division or Boys 16-18 division. Members are attending college are permitted to compete in the Graduate Division.
     
  • Membership Fees:
    Regular membership - $40 The most common membership on the Junior Tour is the Regular Membership. The Regular Membership gives you access to every event on the Maine Junior Tour and the NEPGA Jr. Tour.

  • Sibling Membership Discount to $30:
    Eligibility: Open to any brother or sister (ages 9-21) of a full paying member of the Maine Jr Tour. Registration: Families must register and pay in full for all their children then email Don Doyon (ddoyon@pgahq.com) the names of the members in order to credit the $10 back onto the families’ credit card.
     
  • Age Divisions:
    Boys & Girls 19-21 (Grad Div/College Students);
    Girls 14-18
    Girls 13 & under (9 holes)
    Boys 16-18 
    Boys 14-15
    Boys 12-13
    Boys 11 & under (9 holes)

    Note: Junior players may “declare up” to a higher age division however they MAY NOT return to the younger division for the remainder of the season unless deemed necessary by the Maine Junior Golf Committee. Player of the year points will NOT be transferred if the player returns to a younger Division. When making such a decision, please keep in mind that juniors who declare up will be competing against older players.
     
  • Tournament Registrations:
    All registration for the 2020 Maine Junior Tour will be done online. To register for tournament online, you must be a 2020 Junior Member.

    Note: Tournament deadlines are generally 5 days prior to the event so plan ahead. The Maine Junior Tour reserves the right to change deadlines at any time. Tournament Registrations may be accepted by credit card ONLY. (Includes Walk-ons)

    Boys 11 & under and Girls 13 & under- $25, (9 holes)
    Boys 12-13, Boys 14-15, Boys 16-18, Girls 14-18 and Grad Division - $30 (18 holes)
